NFL Survivor Pool - FAQ
As soon as the first game starts for the week (depending on your pick deadline setting either Thursday first kickoff or Sunday 1pm EDT), your players picks for the week will be displayed on the standings screen.
Their default auto pick will automatically be the next pick in the order that is posted on the default pick screen.
The assign default auto pick script is run after the Sunday 1PM EDT games start.
The order that is posted on the default pick screen Sunday morning is the order the default pick will be assigned.
There is a scenario where this may happen where the default auto pick game has already been played, if your pool admin has the setting "Default Pick Disable Games Before Sunday = ON" then this scenario is not applicable, but if the setting is OFF then your pool admin has allowed this scenario to occur.
Players can pick the games before the Sunday 1pm EDT pick deadline as long as they pick it before the game starts. For example, if they pick a Thursday game, they cannot change their pick after the Thursday game has started. They are locked into to that pick.
When there is no Thursday first kickoff game, the pick deadline is Sunday 1pm EDT.
No. Each season the website starts fresh and everything in the past is no longer available.
No. You will use and maintain your Master Email List on the website for each season.
After your first pool and you have built up your Master Email List,the next pool you create will automatically invite everyone to that pool.
Yes. Under a single email address you can create as many players as your pool admin allows in multiple pools. Click the SWITCH PLAYER link in the top navigation to login as that player to make the picks.
Click the Join link in the email invitation, create your player, the screen will create the player and reload, repeat to create additional players, then when your done, click the I'm finished creating all my players button.
After you login, go to MyUSA and click on the Change Email for Entire Website link to go the to change email address screen. If you want to reassign a player to a different email address your pool admin can change that email address for you.
Yes. On the Player Management screen you can make or delete your players picks for them.
No. The elimination script is run right after the scores are posted for the games played. You cannot mark players back to ALIVE to be revived until after th new week starts Tuesday 3AM EDT.
Yes. Please email us your pool name and the player name that you would like to have as the second admin and your request will be processed in the backend.
Yes. Actions on the website are logged and tracked. Everyone can view the audit reports in MyUSA for transparency.
Yes. The entire website is backed up every night.
Yes. As the website grows more processors and ram are added to handle the load. All queries are continually analyzed for optimal speed and performance.
